The Flying Leaf

This plane is my answer to “The Basic.” As with my changes to “The Dart,” I added weight to the nose and reinforced the wings. I like this one a lot. It is endlessly customizable, easy to fold, and the wings can be made bigger or smaller. I like to throw it hard with an exaggerated dihedral, and see what it does. Sometimes, it makes for a long, slow, elegant flight.

The Falling Leaf will not set any world records, but, if I were stranded on a deserted island and my only companion is a single, rectangular sheet of paper, this plane would be a good one to fold.
